Pavan Bhat, a freelance film editor and filmmaker from Bengaluru, divides his time between Bengaluru and Mumbai. His editing credits include Last Film Show (Chhello Show), directed by Pan Nalin, which was officially shortlisted for Best International Feature at the 95th Oscars; Bhasmasur (Nishil Sheth); Nirmal Anand Ki Puppy and Danny Goes Aum (Sandeep Mohan), among others. His work has received widespread acclaim at prestigious film festivals such as Tribeca, Berlin, Toronto, Busan, and Mumbai, as well as on global release platforms, winning both critical and audience praise.

Although a computer engineer by qualification, Pavan Bhat holds a diploma in filmmaking from Whistling Woods International, Mumbai. He has been actively involved in the film industry since 2012-13, working across films, ads, promos, trailers, documentaries, and music videos. His experience spans various roles, including additional editor, assistant editor, and post-production assistant on notable films like Bulbul Can Sing (directed by Rima Das), Angry Indian Goddesses (directed by Pan Nalin), Tumbbad (directed by Rahi Anil Barve and Adesh Prasad), and Kothanodi (directed by Bhaskar Hazarika), among many others.

Beyond editing and filmmaking, Pavan has a passion for teaching. He has served as an adjunct editing professor at Miami Ad School, Mumbai, and DICE-Vancouver Film School, Mumbai.
